Job Purpose
|
The Campus Communications Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and centralizing digital and print communications to university students and employees. This role involves managing internal communications channels, creating and disseminating digital content, and ensuring consistent messaging and branding across all platforms. The coordinator will work closely with various campus units to support the university’s strategic goals and to enhance the clarity, timing and prioritization of communications to the campus community.

Minimum Requirements
|
A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field is required. At least two years of professional work experience in one of the aforementioned fields is also required. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
|
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, as well as strong organizational and project management abilities. Proficiency in using digital communication tools and platforms, such as email marketing software (e.g., MailChimp), graphic design tools (e.g., Canva), digital publishing platforms (WordPress), Microsoft 365 products, text messaging platforms, and AI writing assistance tools, is essential. Able to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all communications are also crucial. Ability to juggle multiple projects under deadlines and seek input from and incorporate constituent feedback.
