Job Purpose
|
Assistant Director of Regional Advancement, Northeast will be based in and is tasked with building the regional fundraising programs in the Northeast region (NY, CT, NJ and PA). The Assistant Director will be responsible for engaging and advancing a portfolio of philanthropic relationships with prospective donors in this region and will report to the Director of Regional Advancement who also manages the Lead Annual Giving Team.

Minimum Requirements
|
Bachelor’s degree and four years of relevant successful experience or combination of education and relevant experience required. Relevant experience may include involvement in higher education fundraising, marketing, finance, or another role in which developing personal relationships, managing assigned constituents or clients and crafting persuasive communications is essential. Demonstration of successful work experience is also required. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
|
• Demonstrated effectiveness in prospect identification, relationship building, and solicitation.
• Demonstrated successful experience in using data and metrics to help achieve goals, modeling team and institutional culture, working with faculty and staff, as well as successfully overseeing and engaging multiple donor prospects.
• Superior written and oral communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to articulate a compelling case for philanthropic support programs. • Ability to translate complex concepts into compelling development proposals.
• Relevant experience may include involvement in and an understanding of best practices in marketing, finance, or another role in which developing personal relationships and crafting persuasive communications are essential.
• Proven success working independently.

Additional Comments Regarding Position
|
Will be required to work occasional nights and weekends to support regional programs, institutional advancement, and the College. *This position is eligible for full-time telecommuting.
|
