Job Purpose
|
Project Managers manage projects, with limited scope and minimal complexity and risk, while adhering to established project management methodologies and framework. More specifically, prepares and facilitates project documentation, assists in developing project management plans, and manages project activities from beginning to end.
|
Minimum Requirements
|
A high school diploma and experience in project management. A bachelor’s degree in a related area may be substituted for the required work experience. Experience in higher education is preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
|
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
|
Moderate ability to conceptualize necessary change and initiate appropriate activities to transition from ideation to implementation. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments across multiple projects. More specifically, the ability to effectively plan and organize work activities, prioritize task completion, and meet schedules and deadlines. Superior oral and written communication skills as demonstrated by the ability to provide status reports in a clear and concise manner; and to present on findings internally within Information Technology (IT) as well as across the broader community to our business stakeholders. Moderate working knowledge of Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) principles. Preference will be given to candidates who have been issued professional certificates from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or other like professional organizations. An extensive knowledge of higher education business processes and applications is a plus.
