We are beginning to plan for our 2021 Earth Day event, and we are looking for individuals and groups that may be interested in volunteering for a shift during the week of April 19-22.
This year, we will be celebrating Earth Day a little bit differently as we spread our annual event out over four event days during the week of April 19-22. Each day, a limited number of volunteers will be able to register to volunteer with Keep North Charleston Beautiful in and around the Park Circle Butterfly Garden (located at 4800 Park Circle, North Charleston, SC 29405). We will be planting more than 400 plants in these gardens to support our local pollinator populations. Groups and individuals are welcome, but each day is limited to a maximum of 10 volunteers so that we can maintain CDC recommended social distancing guidelines.
We are also looking for volunteer team leaders to help as we split volunteers into separate, smaller groups throughout each event. To be a Team Leader you must have volunteered with us in the past and feel comfortable leading a small group of volunteers
Our volunteer shifts for the week will be:
Monday, April 19 from 12pm-3pm
Tuesday, April 20 from 9am-12pm
Wednesday, April 21 from 12pm-3pm
Thursday, April 22 from 9am-12pm
To sign up to be a team leader, please reply to this email or send an email to knbsc@gmail.com.
