SUMMARY
Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install HVAC and related equipment as assigned in a timely, high- quality manner. Conduct work with highest level of professionalism, build client, coworker, and outside contact relationships, and offer solutions to clients.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot/repair HVAC equipment in a timely and quality manner
- Maintain a high level of professionalism by arriving to work on time, maintaining a neat physical appearance and work van in clean working order
- Present a professional, positive and helpful attitude at all times when interacting with customers and co-workers
- Organize all work detail (work performed, service recommendations, purchase order numbers for material purchased, etc.) and complete an accurate work ticket for billing & payroll purposes.
- Submit accurate and complete Start-up Sheets in a timely manner
- Submit accurate and complete Refrigerant Tracking Logs in a timely manner
- Promote new business by reporting leads
- Exercise effective communication with the customer and co-workers by using the LINC Communication Model
- Build rapport and positive working relationships with clients, vendors, and other outside contacts
- Utilize technology to the fullest extent to enhance performance (email, internet usage, FX)
- Demonstrate the Total Comfort Solutions values on a daily basis
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Two-Year Technical Degree from accredited HVAC institution with 1 to 2 years of experience, HVAC Certificate from accredited HVAC institution with 3 to 4 years of experience, or equivalent work experience
- Industry-specific knowledge gained from working in the field on: Package / Split DX units (water & air cooled), Chillers, Pumps, Towers, Boilers, Control Systems, VAV Boxes, etc.
- Special knowledge for built-up systems preferred but not required
- Organization and time management skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to pass fit-for-duty evaluations as required for contract requirements
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are typical for field of HVAC which include regular exposure to weather conditions and require a high level of physical activity as outlined below. Operating power or hand tools and a motor vehicle is required.
