The Office of Naval Intelligence’s (ONI) Nimitz Warfare Analysis Center (WAC) has an open continuous vacancy announcement on its website for GG-7/9 Intelligence Specialists. The individuals filling these positions will serve as entry/developmental intelligence specialists in Nimitz’s Naval Warfare Department (NWD), performing tasks regarding the analysis, evaluation, collection, interpretation, or dissemination of information and/or products to meet Naval Fleet requirements. The selectees must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). ONI and its Centers are located in Suitland, MD, which is a few miles south of Washington, DC. Nimitz WAC provides operational and strategic analysis of events associated with the maritime domain and supports fleet commanders and national policymakers, providing timely and relevant analysis tailored to meet their requirements. NWD provides detailed analysis of naval warfare threats posed by foreign weapons systems and countries of interest. NWD provides this dedicated, Fleet focused support via four functionally aligned divisions – SABER (surface warfare), SPEAR (air warfare), SWORD (undersea warfare), and SPECTRUM (cyber/electronic warfare/C4ISR).
