Description You will serve as a Packaging Specialist (HAZMAT) in the NAVAL SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.

This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following;
1. Performing a wide variety of complex assignments related to the safety, security, and transportation of explosive ordnance and other HAZMAT
2. Overseeing the development, execution, and implementation of Hazardous Material Transportation Office (HTMO) HAZMAT packaging missions on a global basis.
3. Developing, coordinating, evaluating operations and ensuring implementation and compliance with new guidelines and procedures related to the movement of explosives and other HAZMAT.
