Anticipated Entry on Duty: May 2025.Full-time temporary appointment not-to-exceed 1039 hours.
As a Maintenance Worker you will perform the following duties:
Perform a wide range of journeymen-level tasks, primarily in buildings and utility operations.
Duties will include but are not limited to plumbing, painting, electrical, carpentry, masonry, custodial, and other duties as assigned.
Work both independently and as part of a group.
Input data into Facility Management Software System (FMSS) including writing work orders and completing time sheets.
May lead and participate in tailgate safety meetings and develop Job Hazard Analysis and Standards of Operating Procedures to insure safe work processes in accordance with NPS internal programs and OSHA.
Identify, troubleshoot, and solve problems, including presenting proposed alternatives to the supervisor for review and approval, developing scopes of work, project estimates, and timelines, oversee contracted work, and serve as Contracting Officer's Representative.
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:

Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic).
Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprint reading)
Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment combined with Knowledge of
Equipment Assembly and Repair
Knowledge of Materials combined with Use of Measuring Instruments
