The Housing Authority of the City of Charleston is currently accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Tech II.
HVAC, Gas, Electrician
This position is responsible for performing semiskilled maintenance on building, grounds and equipment that includes duties in carpentry, plumbing, refrigeration, painting, heating, and/or mechanical or electrical repair. Is also able to operate related automotive and power equipment. Must possess the ability to work unsupervised.
Minimum qualifications: HS Diploma or GED supplemented by two to three years of semiskilled and unskilled tasks such as carpentry, electricity, heating, and plumbing, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Applicant must have the ability to perform responsible craftwork at the journeyman level. Must possess a valid state driver's license.
