Our client  is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join their Retail team. Six weeks of paid training will take place in New Jersey. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be providing on-site repairs, installations,  off-site remote trouble shooting,  preventative maintenance for a wide range of PC based scales as well as manual and automatic slicers.  Set up and troubleshoot both wired and wireless network connected devices.

Your technical services will be provided to our clients in a supermarket environment.

Essential Skills and Education

Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year tech school or college; or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Analytical skills for logical troubleshooting and diagnostics. Capable of reading wiring diagrams, schematics and spare part break downs. Knowledgeable in mechanical work on printers and mechanical parts of food processing machines. Experienced in in repair and installation of PC-based devices or processor-controlled equipment (primarily board change level). Strong knowledge of operating systems, especially MS Windows OPS. Capable to set up and troubleshoot both wired and wireless network connected devices. Familiar with TCP/IP based connections and other system bus protocols. Enjoys traveling to multiple locations and flexible work hours.

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive salary plus overtime and bonus opportunity.  Salary based on certain pre-conditions (area, qualification, experience, OT etc.).  Medical, Dental, 401k, Life Insurance, Long term Disability and an attractive vacation policy.  Company vehicle, tools and measuring equipment, work clothes, pocket PC, and laptop included.

Candidates may live in or between Charleston, SC and St. George, SC. There is no overnight travel expected for this position after completion of the training in New Jersey. Training is scheduled to begin March 14, 2022. This is paid training with all lodging covered and per diem provided.
