Job Summary
Supports Nuclear Security by maintaining security procedures/programs to ensure compliance with NRC regulations and company policies. Reviews and interprets new regulations/guidelines and incorporates requirements in applicable procedures/programs. Devises new approaches to problems encountered and develops criteria ensuring compliance with design criteria and standards. Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of regulatory principles and practices to projects that have an impact on programs in varied areas and related fields. Conducts assessments and periodic evaluations of security effectiveness. Conducts Causal Evaluations, when appropriate and recommends corrective actions.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:
Minimum 5 years nuclear security experience.
Possess an in depth knowledge of security concepts and operations within the station.
Ability to read, interpret and advise on the code of federal regulations.
Possess job specific knowledge of regulatory requirements and station procedures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Ability to maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external customers.
Ability to maintain excellent working relationships with regulatory agencies
Excellent presentation abilities to various levels of management
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments and tasks.
Computer/Electronic Presentation Skills.
Good organizational skills
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
Preferred Discipline(s): Administrative Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Criminology
