The Office of Naval Intelligence’s (ONI) Nimitz Warfare Analysis Center (NWAC) has an open continuous vacancy announcement on its website for GG-7/9 Intelligence Specialists. The individuals filling these positions will serve as entry/developmental intelligence specialists in the Pacific Regional, China Submarine Operations and Readiness, and China Strategy Divisions of Nimitz’s Department of Naval Analysis (DNA), performing tasks regarding the analysis, evaluation, collection, interpretation, and dissemination of information and/or products to meet Naval Fleet requirements. These positions have promotion potential to GG-13. The selectees must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). ONI and its Centers are located in Suitland, MD, which is a few miles south of Washington, DC. NWAC provides operational and strategic analysis of events associated with the maritime domain and supports fleet commanders and national policymakers, providing timely and relevant analysis tailored to meet their requirements. DNA provides long-term, penetrating, all-source analysis of foreign naval forces and their maritime strategies in support of theater and Navy component-level strategy, operational, campaign, and war planning.
