Tax season is near! The VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program will be offering free tax preparation to active duty, retirees, and their family members.
Volunteers are needed to help prepare taxes. Volunteers will receive free IRS tax training and will be IRS certified upon completion. This is a great opportunity to volunteer your expertise or learn a new skill. It's also a great resume and EPR/OPR bullet!
Training will be held via Zoom on 11-15 January 2021. Due to Covid, the tax center will operate virtually this year. Volunteers can prepare taxes from the convenience of their home.
